Harbor Group International Sells Apartment Community
In Atlanta, Georgia
ATLANTA, Georgia – An affiliate of Harbor Group International, LLC (Harbor Group), based in Norfolk, Virginia has sold the 400-unit Veranda apartment community in Atlanta to an affiliate of ECI Capital, Inc. for $32 million.
Kevin Geiger, along with his partners Paul Berry and Malcolm McComb, of CB Richard Ellis brokered the transaction.
“Atlanta has been a successful market for us over the years,” said T. Richard Litton, Jr., President of Harbor Group. “We are pleased with the success of the property and the timing of our exit strategy.”
Harbor Group purchased the property in October of 2004.
Veranda is a 400-unit garden-style apartment complex built in 1968 and significantly renovated in 1994. The property contains one- and two-bedroom apartments averaging 964 square feet. Amenities include a swimming pool with a waterfall and hot tub, controlled access gates, walking trails to the Chattahoochee River, picnic area with grills, a 24-hour fitness center, four laundry facilities, car care center, crown moulding and baseboards, and full-size washer and dryer connections.
