Matthew Jones, CFA serves as Chief Investment Officer of Credit Investments and is Managing Director of HGI. Mr. Jones is responsible for developing and implementing the firm’s credit investment strategies and oversees the Credit Investment team. Mr. Jones plays a leading role in strategic planning, sourcing investment opportunities and financing relationships, managing the due diligence process, and executing transactions. In addition, he is a member of HGI’s Executive, Alternative Investment, and Investment Committees. Mr. Jones joined HGI in 2002 from the investment banking division of Legg Mason Wood Walker. He graduated summa cum laude from Virginia Tech with a degree in Finance.
